Early Intervention Education  Classes:

Supplementary School Projects have been providing educational support to Somali children and other children from minority groups since 2003.
Every Saturday and Sunday the school provide lessons by two trained teachers. There are two classes offering educational support on English, Maths and ICT Club. We recognise the fact that many Somali children struggle at school and we have taken this action to address this issue through this project. As the students’ communication levels improve, so does their confidence within mainstream education. This project  is run by qualified teachers and volunteers, who are mainly parents, and university students who want to gain experience.

Volunteers, staff and the Management Committee meet quarterly to review children progress and propose any improvements. Volunteers and staff receive educational training from various statutory and voluntary organisation  . Additional activities provided for the whole family include Eid and cultural celebrations and summer day trips to local parks and  seaside trips.
